Tray I painted for a dear friend!

Tray I painted for a dear friend!
Your life is a journey of learning to love yourself first and then extending that love to others in every encounter.

"To realize your true nature, you must wait for the right moment and the right conditions. When the time comes, you are awakened as if from a dream. You understand that what you have found is your own and dosen't come from anywhere outside." --Buddhist Sutra

If you don't know what your passion is, realize that one reason for your existence on earth is to find it!

Words of Wisdom
You alone, make a whole person, and you alone must fill yourself with love in all your empty, shattered spaces.
"Nothing can bring you peace but yourself" -Waldo Emerson

Little Treasures

"The most beautiful thing under the sun is being under the sun." -Jane Ann

"Happiness does not consist in things themselves but in the relish we have of them..."

Create a vivid, positive vision for your future, see it, say it, meditate on it, write it down, flash on it at every red light. When you catch yourself thinking you're too old, too poor, too weak, or too needy to make a change, laugh in your own face.

"Caretake this moment. Immerse yourself in its particulars. Respond to this person, this challenge, this deed. Quit the evasions. Stop giving yourself needless trouble. It is time to really live; to fully inhabit the situation you happen to be in now." -Epictetus

I know for sure that what we dwell on is who we become--as a woman thinks, so is she. If we absorb hour upon hour of images and messages that don't reflect our magnificence, it's no wonder we walk around feeling drained of our life force.
"To thine own self be true!"

Make your dreams come true...

Kerri and I decided to spend a delightful day together. It started with lunch in Livermore at a wonderful Italian place. We sipped on soda and chatted as we ate marsala pork loin with mushrooms! yummmm...next we went to the Oakland Temple to enjoy the art work of A. Johnson. Then hiked up the stairs to the outside terrace of the temple to walk around. This is where I took the pic. of Kerri. Finnally, we ended our fun day with a trip to get our nails done. Oh yea! Little life's treasures!

Oldest grandson, Taylor (Kerri's oldest son)

My oldest grandson, Taylor. He just turned 12 yrs. old. His voice gives it away the moment he opens his mouth. Sooooooooo deep! He is the most thoughtful, caring young man and is such a delight to have around! He jumped on his bike inviting me to join him in a ride around the lake. I actually broke a sweat! Thanks Taylor, you're the best!

My grandson Logan (Kerri's youngest son)

Logan is such a delight. When he was small he walked up to me and said, "I love you in my heart." He is so animated and fun to have around...always wanting to give me a big hug!

Sept. 6, 2008 Time Out for Women

My sister Sylvia and I spent a wonderful day in Sacramento, attending Time Out for Women. The day was filled with chatter, laughs, song, and wonderful talks on finding "Joy." Life is full of little, delightful treasures!

Flash....Kim is expecting a BABY the first of February
and we are having a GIRL! My first grandaughter (I have four grandsons)...I am so excited I can hardly wait for her arrival. Guess the warning worked! I told my kids the next child is getting lace regardless of the sex. Ha ha...Yes, we are having a beautiful, sweet baby girl! I'm looking forward to holding her in my arms and whispering, "I've been waiting a very long time for your arrival," while kissing her gently on the cheek. Thanks Kim, dreams do come true. I'm grinning from ear to ear!
